Done

Get it done. That is the mode that all of my friends, including myself are in right now. It could be work or school, but everybody is just feeling the pressure to get it done.

I texted Glenn this morning my mantra for the day, which was:

Today is going to be good.
Today is going to be the best it can possibly be.
Don't worry about others, focus on yourself.
God is in control, you don't have to be.

I am thinking about writing it on my bathroom mirror!

This past weekend in photo form:
The amazing Japanese restaurant that Glenn, and my friend Will and I went to on Friday night.
Outside of my brothers house, right before we went to brunch at Sun in My Belly.
I had to take the photo, beers and boots.
I have a secret love for tribal prints. Shh don't tell.
Glenn getting a lesson in how to crumb smoked salmon by my cousin Brad.
The amazing Amelia Todd's senior show, if you are a Berry kid, look at the man in the back. It is Briggs =)
Smoothies have been my lunch for weeks now. Banana, honeydew, mango, raspberries and spinach.
Tonight I am driving to Atlanta to be in town for my high schools leadership board tomorrow, there is just something great about being back in the town you grew up in. Taking a day off of work to give back makes you forget, at least for a minute about running around like a mad women back at the office!

Calm

Wowzers what a week! It kicked off with a Chamber Membership Drive which was quite a hoot!

Then my life carried on into a series of hard personal phone calls and texts that drew lines across the sand of people in my life. In the end, the best will come from everything if it is God's will. The one big thing that I learned this week is that you can not control anybody's thoughts, actions or opinions. Therefore you best be in control of yourself! Oh and if people go crazy on you it is best to be calm. They hate calm, because it means that you are in control of yourself when they are not in control of themselves.

So...

Blue

From blueberry lemon scones to Bluefield, West Virginia. The past week has been eventful to say the very least. I have decided that I don't want to go to the circus, I simply don't because I don't want to see any more juggling. I do enough of that in real life! I do enjoy keeping all the balls up in the air, but the fear of them falling is tough some days. But everything is always better with SCONES!

Amelia Todd, my roommate, is simply the very best scone maker I know!
Glenn with his birthday cupcakes that his mom made him!
Glenn and his brother Taylor changing the flat tire on my rental car on his birthday!
A cup of tea bedside at Key Falls Inn!
The large white blob on my lap is my new friend that just decided he wanted to snuggle on my lap.
A college dorm, not kidding.
Savannah, carving her first chicken on a lazy Saturday!
I absolutely love traveling for my job, but I absolutely love the joy of coming home and getting back into my routine as well. I would say my favorite thing about being back into my house besides family, friends and Belle is being able to cook. I have a steak in my fridge that has been marinating for two days and I am going to GRILLING TONIGHT!
